As far as I'm aware, there's no migration from Earthen ring- and besides, my entire raidgroup and other assorted friends are here.

Well, my group has no plans to move, so I'm sticking around. Of course, if others leave the server, that means more room for whatever char you want to create on there :-)

So, 72 hours or so...what's the expansion like?

Short answer - brilliant, if overcrowded...

Long answer - I haven't had enough time to get really into it yet, but the quests are well done, a lot with new twists on old themes. Though I don't do PVP much myself, it is thriving, and integrated with each zone. The new scenery is very nice to look at, and apparently the new instances are well done (they're optimised to be done in an hour or two tops, as opposed to some of the older ones which got a little excessive at times).

The next real test from my point of view will be what happens once I'm at 70.

Are the graphics requirements any higher than regular WoW? I mean really, not just what the min/recc specs say.

My senile old system could handle WoW with just a lot of caching on entering AV or a city and I'm wodering if it would be a factor in any (non city) parts of TBC.

It is graphically a lot more intensive than the roginal, I think- there are several lovely effects in various places.
