Hmm... you can listen to a sample on gamingFM

But I reccomend Silent hill 2-3 as well as anything by Squaresoft...

Computergames... the ./hack and the the various Final Fantasy OSTs are worth listening to, although the FF ones are Import only as I recall so they'll be pricey to buy.

Anime Soundtracks? Akira for sure! Also Hellsing (it's very different from most other Anime OSTs, but this is no bad thing at all).

Definitely Hellsing, super-cool-laid-back through to quite violent-fighty-fighty stuffs... and Final Fantasy is aaaalll good!

I guess the GTA radio CDs don't really count, but they're good.

Wolf's Rain , Voices of a Distant Star, Grave of the Fireflies, and Someday's Dreamers are personal favourites. [livejournal.com profile] dkstranger suggested Haibane Renmei, Last Exile, Witch Hunter Robin, or anything by Yoko Kannoor Yuki Kajiura. He aslo says Miyazaki and studio Ghibli have good soundracks.

Actually, finding out about that site was why I was asking- I didn't want to go trawling through their massive database without any guidance. :-)

But thanks- it's a bloody brilliant site!
