Well, it seems I've been here long enough now for the delightful little darlings to feel comfortable with insulting me, in that artfully devious way that is so hard to see through*

My comebacks, sadly, aren't as good as they could be, given the targets...


AP = Annoying pupil
E = Entourage of mindless associates
Me = The all-signing, all-dancing Admin Monkey

*this occurs after I've done my frequent routine of trying to get one of the pupils to, y'know, do what they're supposed to do.

AP: I heard that someone said you smell.
E: *giggles*
Inner me: Subtle, really subtle.
Me: *raise eyebrow* Well, feel free to congratulate someone on having finally mastered kindergarten-level insults.
AP: Huh? What?
Inner me: Okay, let's dial it down a little.
Me: I was saying that it wasn't a good insult.
AP: Um, well, they said you're stupid too.
E: *giggles*
Inner me: *sigh*
Me: Well, tell them to come back in 30 years when they've mastered teenage insults. But in the meantime, you're still going to your class.
*AP + E eventually move off*
Member of staff who'd been walking by: Well, I thought it was funny...

very funny :) my fave one is def the snake pit by the late book though. i told lots of my friends that one. been reading friends entries but not really commenting or updating due to keyboard being a git and my life being incredibly full suddenly. i miss you.
