Some bright spark amongst the kids decided to set off the fire alarm. During lunch. When it was raining.

My lunch is thus ruined, along with a lot of other staff. I think now is a good time to moot my suggestion for stringing the culprit from the yardarm. Even if we have to construct a yardarm first...

Some no-brainer did that last week in the kitchens. Burnt toast it turned out. Our hour was spent outside in the cold with no time for lunch. Goddammit!
