Theory of balancing happiness...

Right, this is based on observations I've made, and is not entirely serious...

There is only a finite amount of happiness to go around, and therefore, for some people to be happy, others have to be unhappy.

I've noticed this because, when I was feeling exceptionally chirpy and happy, my friends all started having problems and feeling down.

Now I'm feeling down, things are looking up for many of my friends who were previously down.

Blech.

Well no- it's more that good things seem to happen to them when things aren't going well, and vice-versa. Although your point is interesting.

Now, this internet stalking things. Do you want volunteers to help you stalk or be stalked? :-)
