Just been informed about a PICK BASIC role that I'm ideally suited for. Interview probably forthcoming. I'll go to it, then work out what the hell I'm going to do, now I'm halfway through training for something else entirely...

Why can't it ever be a simple decision?

if you want my advice - stick with the training your doing, in the long run it'll be more beneficial than PICK BASIC.

if you take the PICK BASIC job and it dissapears for whatever reason then you're back to square one, at least with microsoft qualifications you're employable for the foreseeable future.

now, if they give you shit about money then i think that is unfairly putting pressure on you to do something you know is not beneficial to yourself or to the system. threaten them with legal action.

Oh, I plan to finish the training regardless- the MCSA and MSCD.Net are too useful to give up on, especially after I've forked out for it...

for me it would boil down to

1) Which will I enjoy more
2) Which pays more
and
3) How easy is it to get to work

exact rating depends on the jobs and feel of the area / staff, but its normally almost predtermined in my mind which i'll opt for.

I say go to the interview and do not worry about the rest of the equation until you GET the job...

Then take the money and run!!

(And finish the training too of course... you're a multi-talented guy - you can manage to work and study at the same time!!)

*hugs and good luck!*
