Bloody bureaucratic nonsense!

Okay, so today I had to go to a six-month unemployment interview. Nonetheless, in light of my beginning training that will end up in a job, I was feeling reasonably chipper. This of course, couldn't last...
It went something like this*.
Me = Yours truly, the Saint of Irrational Computing
PBMBD = Pleasant But Mindless Bureaucratic Drone
PBMBD: So, how is the jobsearch going?
Me: Great! I've just started training which will give me a couple of useful and marketable qualifications, and the company that is putting me through the training will give me a job at the end of it, so in a couple of months I should be out of your hair.
PBMBD: That's good to hear. So, I'm going to sign you up for our training program, which will teach you confidence, basic IT skills, and help you get a job.
Me: Ummm, so you're going to sign me up for something that will take up a lot of my time, and slow my revision for exams (as well as probably messing with my scheduling), thus keeping me out of work longer.
PBMBD: Yep.
Me: But, but- "basic IT skills"? I have a degree in Computer Science, and 2.5 years experience as an analyst programmer. I'm training in a complex programming language, as well as in systems administration. Plus, already sorted the job thing!
PBMBD: Lalala, I'm not listening! And you have to go to this course, or we'll cut off what meagre amount of money we already give you.
Me: I hate you. *leaves*
*Okay, not exactly, but I feel artistic license covers it....
