If you had the chance to know the future, would you take it?

Probably, but it depends on whether I'd remember any of it and whether I'd be able to do anything about some of it...

Yes. Curiosity killed the Cat and all that.

Depends on what the future would be. Regardless, it'd be necessary to have the reserves to alter it.

Yes, with certain restrictions. My own, near-term personal future I wouldn't want to see, on the grounds that I'm going to find out anyway soon enough. However, I would be rather curious to see what's going on in 500 years' time, as an example.

Ha! You'd love The Gap In The Curtain by John Buchan. It would depend on how much of the future I got to see - I wouldn't mind the odd glimpse now and then.

Nope, not a chance I would.
Whats the point of living if you already know the ending?

that depends...

on if knowing the future changes it, once you know what is about to happen does the future stay the same, somehow I don`t think so.

Is the future set? Can I change it? Do I get to know the lottery numbers?

If I find out the future, then I get to find the answers to all these questions. So yes, I would.

No.

Once I thought I did but was t4erribly disappointed when the alloted point in time arrived ... and passed without the expected change in the fabric or time and space. I don't want to be in that situation again ... expect the unexpected!

Oh HELL yeah. Then use every ounce of gathered information to the full in order to make stuff turn out for the best.

To 'know the future' you need be beleive in fate, If you don't (I don't) then it cannot be seen clearly. Not an answer but a point of view. D

Absolutely not. If you've ever played Telepathy in Magic: The Gathering, you'd know that seeing what's coming is pretty boring, and being unable to change it is just plain distressing.

If I had had the chance to know that Mark thought The Mighty Boosh were funny, I would have struck him with a giant hammer till he prematurely realised that it isn't.

It's so inane. Someone save me from The Mighty Boosh.
