Although it should be noted that it's not the people being thanked that think so, but others reading...

Yeah, pretty much- after my last LJ post, I did what I said I'd do, and posted something thanking people for all the hard work they put into SC and related things, which was responded to by several comments of "kiss ass" and "suck up". This annoys me.

I just find it a sad sign of the times, when it's not socially "acceptable" to thank people for things.

Good thing I don't give a damn about other people's social conventions really... :-P

I hate it when my assistant goes on holiday - I have twice the work to cope with, and I have to deal with stroppy students, and I keep being asked questions that I don't know the answer to!!! :oS

And now I have the entry figures for the exams in the summer, so I have to start thinking about where to put them all and times and stuff....

I need a full bottle in front of me...
