Bucking the trend

Across the many webboards and mailing lists I frequent, it is de rigeur for the only comments/mails/posts to those who help run things to be ones complaining. Never a word of praise for those who do the hard work to give people the chance to complain.

So I plan to make an extra effort to thank those who do things, and I'd encourage everyone else to do the same...

people take the good for granted and only bitch about the bad. how many times do you thank your parents, or other people, for the nice stuff they do every day? we only tend to tahnk people when they do something out of the ordinary!
