Dev closure warning

Okay, looking at the Dev Camden forums here, I've got some confirmation of the rumour going around that the Dev is facing conversion to a "trendy" bar should the numbers not perk up. I would recommend people who want the Dev to prosper as it currently is get down there and drink something.

There will apparently be an announcement later on on the Dev's website here.

I held off on proliferating this rumour until some confirmation was recieved, but I think this qualifies as adequate confirmation.

Sorry, I kind of like the place, but just can't find it in my heart to actually care about somewhere I've never been able to go into without someone sneering at me because I'm not goth enough in the right way for them.

Don't get me wrong I hope it doesn't close but personally that's always been my experience of the place too, cool place but very bad attitude.

Gawd, the goffic Force will feel that one.

If they lowered the prices slightly perhaps they wouldn't have such a problem with the drop in popularity!

Despite that, I'm going to try and get down there more often as it would be a shame to lose it xx

I sympathise with you guys, their systematically buying up out rock pubs and threatening noise polution acts at our live musicvenues up here. Its getting hard to keep the scene up and motivated in the face of that sort of adversity.
I hope they manage to pull it around.
