Mage and EVE

Well, Mage was, as usual, great fun, with the usual madcap antics...there'll be a journal entry up in kuo_li at some point this week.

In EVE, I'd just started using my new Mammoth class industrial ship, when I encountered a friendly chap who happened to be the head of one of the biggest player pirate corps around. I say "met", when I actually mean "he put two Cataclysm cruise missiles into me, then blew up my escape pod afterwards". Needless to say, I wasn't best pleased. I'm sure a couple of million ISKs is small change to him, but for someone who's only been playing two weeks, it's quite a lot. Tosser.

But I've started taking on combat missions instead of just delivery ones now, and at some point, I've decided to work towards getting an Assault Frigate. Still going to concentrate mainly on mining, manufacture and research though.

that's exactly the kind of thing that happens in that game which is why i don't play it. apparently it's full of tossers like that.

Heh - it's Beer and Kebabs. They are the utter tossers. I 'met' one of them today in Amamake in near-identical circumstances to you. The difference is I was in my nippy combat Rifter and he was in a slow-to-all-hell-and-back Caldari Battleship of some description. Needless to say his jamming me failed and he hadn't even finished targetting me before I was warped. Better luck next time Carniel of Beer and Kebabs...
