I'm mildly concerned that I may actually be, well, boring.

I dunno. Maybe it's more that I'm concerned that I have a boring life instead. I was just thinking that, by comparison to a lot of the people I know, I just haven't really lived it seems...

Define lived ...
Why worry about it, unless there's stuff you want to achieve but haven't?

Further, I think it's just stemming from this underlying feeling that there are bits missing from my life- that there should be more to it than this. It's kind of a low-level nagging feeling that is mostly in the background, and I'm having trouble putting into words.

Missing bits...

The problem with that nagging incomplete feeling is that, at least in my experience, you're never really sure what would constitute completeness.

There's all these things you'd like to do but they all seem just that little bit too far away to really make a go of without damaging what you've got already. If you did go off hunting for an interesting life there's the very real chance you mess up the already comfortable life you've got.

The best way to live a full and interesting life appears to be to keep adding things to an empty and boring life as and when they can be comfortably and safely added. It may not be a thrilling way to do things but I'd rate contentment over excitement, after all, contentment lasts.

If I may quote a famously lying bastard who just once might have been on to something: "Call no man happy until he is dead"
There's a lot of lifetime in which to find fulfilment...
