It feels a little strange- this is my first proper permanent job, and hence my first time leaving one. I'm going to miss the people at this company- they're a nice bunch (and more than a little odd on occasions). I learnt a lot here, both about programming , and about office life.

Not really much else to say- I leave Exeter entirely in a couple of days, and start my new life in London.

Well as it's your first time leaving, perhaps you migh not be aware of a couple of traditions assiciate with leaving a job.

1. Cakes. (same as birthdays) Buy a whole bunch of cakes for the office to fatten themselves on.
2. Piss-up. After work, or even during lunch, ideally both, take a few work-mates down the pub and get them to buy you drinks.

Make the most of your last day, and I hope it runs smoothly.

I'm familiar with the cakes- getting some at lunchtime. Pissup not an option, but the IT department is having a Quake 3 fest at 5:00 for 1/2 an hour...

Well done - you might want to take this tongue-in-cheek: http://thoth.daisyblossom.com/archives/2003_12_28_mortals_archive.html#107265644027168933 - oh and avoid people who have too little to do or who do jobs that are not proper jobs (like admininstrators).
