A busy weekend
Aug. 16th, 2004 09:12 amHokay. On Saturday, I went round to the old house belonging to my parents, which they move out of in 10 days time. I'd originaly intended to chill and have a quiet day, but instead, my mother insisted on me sorting through various of my possessions that I had there, and deciding what to keep. I did at least get the chance to go to Bluewater and do a little shopping- I picked up Onimusha 3 for PS2, and two HK films on DVD, God of Gamblers (a Chow Yun Fat gun-fu film), and Once Upon a Time in China, starring Jet Li. Both films were quite fun, with the usual superb gunplay from Chow Yun Fat, and even more superb martial arts and wirework from Jet Li.
In the evening, I went round a friend's house for the start of a short Demon:the Fallen game. He was celebrating his birthday with a roleplaying session. Which I find a little odd, I mean, I'm a roleplaying addict, and even I'd much rather go out and be sociable on my birthday. Oh well, it was quite a fun session anyway.
Sunday was Labyrinthe, where I was playing my legendary-level psionic assassion, Selgard. It was an absolute nightmare- I was press-ganged into functioning as a party warrior, something my character is really unsuited for. As a result, I lost 20% from my remaining 50% resurrection chance. Still, we succeeded in the end, and I got to do a pretty much textbook assassination on one of the NPCs. With full authorisation from one of the avatars of my (goodly) deity.
This week I'm once again conserving money, in order to have stuff to spend at Synthetic Culture on Friday. As a reminder, I'll be in the Head of Steam in Euston beforehand, if anyone wants to meet up.
