My last day at work...

It feels a little strange- this is my first proper permanent job, and hence my first time leaving one. I'm going to miss the people at this company- they're a nice bunch (and more than a little odd on occasions). I learnt a lot here, both about programming , and about office life.

Not really much else to say- I leave Exeter entirely in a couple of days, and start my new life in London.

Karaoke madness

I just saw the new SingStar game being demonstrated in the local game (managed to dodge being part of the demo thankfully).

It's actually quite tempting- for starters it shows your voice pitch relative to the note that's supposed to be sung, which would help me get my voice back into proper shape.

The main reason though, is the temptation to inflict it on those who come to crash with me...

"You may stay at my flat....but only if you defeat me in Mortal Karaoke"

Okay, yes, I'm feeling silly. Still, a few drinks and a few friends, and it could be fun...

Prezzies

Just got my leaving presents- a nice, tough, durable watch, and (and this is the cool one) a pretty big mirror with a black frame decorated with skulls and bones and the like :-)
