Fun break

Just finishing my second (of two) days off work- I went back to Gravesend to see my parents and take part in the national Dark Ages LARP.

It was fun, although wearing plate mail in quite a confined room in summer is not the most fun in the world.

Got my head kicked in by an elder Ventrue NPC, and narrowly avoided being a playing piece in a game of Malkavian Chess played by a couple of elders...

All in all, a good laugh.

Hmm, work starts again tomorrow. Damn.

Glad to hear that you had fun (that plate mail thing provoked PICTURES in my mind though *smirk* ---- did you take any picturess ???)

And no update on the other matter either- doesn't look like there'll be an update for a while, either. *sigh*

My friends here are so unnernved with this single status of mine (living vicariously, we had that topic already hadn't we ? ;-) - and especially as I am that strange foreign exotic plant of An International Student I am supposed to lead that super-exciting romatic love life...) want me to place an ad in a local magazine as they absolutely want me to do some "nice American dating".
I don't know.... What do you think ?

Did you get my none-email ? I still have to comment on that lustfulness-issue, remind me okay ?

I have never done dating ads before (well, logical after living with someone for 8 years). I feel extremely ... odd about that. However, when I go out here, there are these 21 year old undergraduate Frat boys (saying nothing against 21 year olds, it is just the combination of age, Fraternity and something Midwesternish American with no liberal background or whatver makes them as narrow-minded as they are) that hit on me - and dating them turned out to be rather ... intellectually and spiritually unstimulating and emotially frustrating.
My friends sort of decided I should meet older guys - which is difficult in a College Town... Thus the add.
I sometimes feel like their special edition of Barbie (not having her looks of course): "Dating Barbie -- with German accent "
Well, apart from the vicarious thrill seeking, I guess they mean it good.
