No one is completely evil/unpleasant/nasty.

Everyone has redeeming features, no matter how small they may be.

Sorry to be cynical but...
*cough*GeorgeBush*cough*
*cough*HuggyMark*cough*

Although we could render them down for soap.
Woo!
Redeemed.

George Bush has apparently done some positive things (I saw a list somewhere- it was fairly short, but still)

Huggy Mark means well, and isn't really all that bad.

Rich isn't nasty or offensive or anything like that- in fact he's pretty much harmless.

There we are.

Yeah, I suppose you're right, on a dispassionate analysis.
It can be so bl**dy hard to spot some peoples' redeeming features at times, though.

I like diapassionate analyses. They're a lot less likely to cause trouble...

Well, I like the thought of rendering those three people down for soap.
That's quite a lot of soap.
I also like trouble...

I'm not averse to trouble where necessary. I just don't believe in looking for it.

Nor, in 2000, did the American electorate.

Pity, how things work out sometimes!

that makes me think of the glass half-full analogy.

"no one is completely evil/unpleasant/nasty" vs. "no one is completely good/pleasant/nice".

*images of yin-yang symbol floating around*

hmm! food for thought ^^; :)
