Appropriately called the Basics of Me Meme
1) Dietary Requirements
a) Give your personal interpretation of the four basic food groups.
-- Dairy products, fruit n' veg, fatty things, other stuff
b) If the following food was removed from the face of the planet entirely, you would be inconsolable.

c) If the following food was removed from the face of the planet entirely, you would throw a party.
-- Seafood
d) Those pesky vitamin things: how do you get your daily dose?
-- Orange juice, fruit, milk, pills.
e) What's your ideal three-course meal?
-- Chicken broth soup for starter, Neptune Bake (my mother's reciepe) for main course, mango chunks for desert.

-- Whatever

-- between 50 and 90, depending on circumstances.

-- Fantasy or Scifi

-- David Weber
d) Which book has caused you to think fondly of the firemen in Farenheit 451, it was so bad?
-- Can't remember- the knowledge of it was probably erased to make room for decent books.
e) Fan fiction -- like it or loathe it?
-- Depends on the fiction- some can be very good.
f) What's the oddest book you ever read for fun?
-- A quantum physics textbook.
g) If you were stranded on a desert island, what five books would you want with you?
-- The complete works of Shakespeare, The David Weber collection, That Sherlock Holmes collection thing, the Lord of the Rings, and the Principia Discordia
3) Entertainment -- Video
a) Do you watch television?
-- Very occasionally.
b) If you do, or ever did, what are your favourite programmes?
-- Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Babylon 5
c) Any programmes you'd gladly see axed, and the creators summarily executed?
-- Big Brother and its ilk.
d) Favourite film genre?
-- None in particular, although I'll tolerate a lot more in a martial arts film than I will in many other types of film.
e) Which five films would be a part of your ideal movie night?
-- The Crow, Dark City, The Matrix (original one, not the sequels), Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Pirates of the Caribbean
f) Which five films serve as your example of the ultimate waste of celluloid?
-- Not really sure- I tend to be fairly good at avoiding films I'm not going to like, so I can't remember the last crap film I saw.
4) Entertainment -- Audio
a) Favourite music genre?
-- Goth, but I like a whole hell of a lot of other stuff from a variety of other genres.
b) Genre that makes you plaster your hands over your ears and run screaming for cover?
-- Pop (with the very occasional exception), Drum and Bass (no exceptions)
c) If you can narrow it down that far, pick your favourite artist.
-- You're kidding, right?
d) Stranded on a bus for 31 hours -- what five albums would you bring? (note: home-made mp3 burns do not count.)
-- Evanescence - Fallen, The Crow Soundtrack, Kill 2 This - Deviate, Sisters of Mercy - A Slight Case of Overbombing, Some Switchblade Symphony album or other.
e) What's the best way to listen to music -- a good stereo system or live at a gig?
-- I'm not too fussed. Depends on my mood really.
5) Employment
a) What do you do for a living?
-- Programmer.
b) What do you want to do for a living?
-- Go to gaming conventions and music gigs.
c) What do you really not want to end up doing for a living?
-- Anything involving purely manual labour.
d) What's the best job you ever had?
-- I've only really had one proper job, and I can say with some certainty that it will not be ranked as my best.
e) Worst job?
-- See above.
6) Home Life
a) Neat freak or slob?
-- I like tidiness, but lack the room to implement it at the moment. I don't get obssessive about it though.
b) What's in your fridge?
-- Cheese, bread, milk, margerine, orange juice, vodka.dressing, mayonnaise that has gone very off and some oranges.
c) Do you own any clothes that are "Dry Clean Only"? If so, how often do they see the inside of your dry cleaners?
-- Nope.
d) Do you drive? If so, do you endanger your life, the lives of your passengers and/or the lives of pedestrians and other motorists when you take the wheel?
-- Yes, and I'm an exceptionally safe driver for my age and gender.
e) What side of the bed do you sleep on? And are you a covers-thief?
-- My bed isn't big enough for that to be measurable. And not usually.
f) Do you cook? If not, is it "can't" or "won't"?
-- Occasionally- I'm actually quite a good cook when I can be bothered.
7) Hobbies & Interests
a) Are you fanatical about a particular sport, as either a spectator or a participant?
-- No.
b) Play a musical instrument?
-- Piano, Organ, Bass Clarinet, Clarinet. I can also sing.
c) Do you work in any visually artistic medium (sketch, paint, sculpture, graphic design)?
-- No.
d) Do you write (poetry, prose, fanfic even)?
-- On occasion, yes. Suffering writers block right now though.
e) Computers -- tool, pet, lifeline or really expensive paperweight?
-- Tool, pet, lifeline.
f) Oh, hell -- just list your hobbies.
-- Gaming, stuff with computers, roleplaying, wargaming, reading, martial arts, playing in a band, other music-related stuff, occasional writing, other things I can't remember right now.

-- Computer gaming currently, but I hope to replace that with more social activities.
