Quite a fun weekend, all told.

Friday, after work finished, I went off to pick up my new PC, with help on navigation from my father (without him on map and lookout duty, it would have taken twice as long. Haven't these people heard of road signs???). Now all I need is a screwdriver so I can transfer hard drives and the like.

Then, in the evening, was the office Christmas party, where I turned up in my snazzy waistcoat/frock coat/cane combo, and proceeded to party like it was, well, one of my normal nights out. Of course, compared to most of the rest of the people there, I was therefore a party animal. Also, no sense of embarassment helps trmendously when you're trying to get people on to the dance floor by leading by example.

Highlights:

  • Blagging four extra bottles of wine for our table (one of the few "under-30s" tables), including 2 from the director's table. My chutzpah earned me much kudos, especially given the cost of drinks there.

  • Getting Adam and the Ants played, and making sure I wasn't the only one dancing to it.

Saturday morning saw me remembering why I don't usually drink a lot of red wine. Dear Eris, the hangover was horrific. Still, I managed to feel a little better by the time it came round to do Requiem character creation for the upcoming Cam Requiem game. Then I headed home and did more random stuff.

Sunday was mostly a quiet day, but in the evening, I went to Staines to see Blade Trinity again, with Mutley, [livejournal.com profile] djrex, [livejournal.com profile] ollyb, [livejournal.com profile] societyburning,[livejournal.com profile] misseve and [livejournal.com profile] two_brains. It was once again a nice violent bit of cinematography, and there were some nice trailers (including the Episode 3 trailer, which is even more impressive on the big screen). Looks like there'll be a nice crop of action and superhero films next year. Nice.

And now, back at work again...
