Long Weekend
May. 17th, 2004 12:32 pmRight, now I've got a little sleep, time to report on a really good weekend...
Headed up to London on Friday afternoon, and hung around in the Devonshire Arms for a fair old while, having the odd drink, before the rest of my friends started to arrive. After a while, we all headed over to King's Cross (specifically, the Egg Club) for the opening night of Synthetic Culture, the successor to Full Tilt.
The venue was impressive, with 3 floors, labyrinthian corridors, and a nice outdoors area, as well as a balcony. Anyway, I met a number of people, with the lovely
rx_ritalin being of particular note...
Anyway, that carried on till five in the morning, after which I crashed on a sofa in Arsenal for a few hours of dozing, before getting on the train to Nottingham, where I met up with
thefounder.
We got to the Wake that evening, which was cool as usual- I met Mog and Shadow (who is trouble), and all and sundry. I'dve danced, but by that point I was just too knackered. All in all, a nice end to the birthday celebrations.
Travelling back to Exeter was a nightmare, but I will hopefully never have to do it again, as I move to London and my new lovely big flat in one week...
And now, the last week at work in Exeter...
