A long weekend.
Oct. 20th, 2003 04:51 pmWell, I've just got back from my visit to Derby and Nottingham. Which was great...
On the Saturday, I met
brindy and
mistressbuffy at Derby station, we headed back to Brindy's (He has a house. A whole one. Of his own. And it doesn't cost him much more a month than my room. His kitchen is bigger than my entire living space. Okay, jealousy over for now).
Brindy cooked some very nice pasta, which Mistressbuffy couldn't finish, so I had to force myself to eat hers, hehe...
I then proceeded to head to the Pit and Pendulum, where I encountered the unforgettable duo of
ladyravenette and
aleph_hq. Who are cool. And still seemed willing to talk to me even after half an hour of my presence, which is always a plus!
We then headed on to Spiders for the Wake. Which was amazing- the club is no bigger than the Exeter metal/goth clubs, but the night was actually a proper goth night. With proper goths. And decent music. Here I bumped into
posercorpse, and a few other interesting people. Don't think you've heard the last of me- to quote a certain Californian Governor, "I'll be back".
Sunday involved watching DVD's, eating stir fry and a pub lunch, then going to the Carnival of Souls. Which was frankly disappointing, but still a lot of fun. I didn't get the chance to talk to my friends as much as I should have, as I had a bizarre case of club-wanderlust, and rarely stopped moing for long. Nearly bought a PVC "Neo" coat for £80, but fortunately someone else got there first before I could get past my sales resistance.
Had a lot of fun, met some more interesting people...
Oh, and towards the end of the night, I started getting a little bored, so I approached random people, said a few words, then wandered off again. Don't know what effect it had, but it kept me amused...
