Hmmm

What kith are you? Find out here.

I normally end up SLuagh in these things. Still this one I can see too.

I was a gnome in the brownies, does that count?

[identity profile] brindy.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
No.

:P

I like you're icon. You love that hair, don't you?

[identity profile] ladyravenette.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Good morning! Knew you were lurking around somewhere. And yes, I luuurrrve that hair, although I've only worn it once, and that's when the picture was taken!
This Kith thingy is some role-playing reference, I take it? Are you smitten with the identity-crisis bug too?

[identity profile] brindy.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
I've no idea where this Kith thing comes from. Nadriel will probably be able to enlighten us...

Can't say I have a particular crisis about anything at the moment.

[identity profile] ladyravenette.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
I meant role-playing, as in do you role play?

[identity profile] nadriel.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
Don't know about him, but I definitely do. Although I have no crisis of identity thankyou very much. I know exactly who I am. I just like to take a break every now and then.

Plus, since I do live roleplay as well, I get to look cool as my psionic assassin.

[identity profile] ladyravenette.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
One of the girls here is in the Sealed Knot Society. *giggle*

[identity profile] nadriel.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
I prefer fantasy live roleplay to re-enactment, although I've done a bit of that too.

There's something fun about smugly folding your arms and saying a couple of words, and watching the person playing the monster have to crumple as if someone had just dipped their fingers inside their skull and stirred. (Which, in character, is almost exactly what happened.)

[identity profile] ladyravenette.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm...think I'd rather get dressed up and hit something, tho' I'll admit I don't really 'get' re-enactment because it's all a matter of speculation anyway and some people get awfully steamed up about the 'right' way to have a battle.

[identity profile] nadriel.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Oh I do that as well- people don't expect the assasin to use a bastard sword. But there's something very satisfying about thumping someone with what amounts to a padded stick.

[identity profile] brindy.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Depends what kind of Role Play you mean. :P

But the simple answer is yes and not as much as I'd like. I play D&D pencil and paper and online, and have recently acquired the Vampire: The Masquerade books and am reading up on that, not that I'll have anyone to play with.

What about you?

[identity profile] nadriel.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
I quite like Vampire. Although Mage has overtaken it as my favourite White Wolf game.

[identity profile] ladyravenette.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
Awww, poor baby! (and I was trying not to be rude!) 8-p

[identity profile] nadriel.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
It's from Changeling: The Dreaming, another White Wolf cookie-cutter "you are x sort of supernatural creature" game. In this case about the Fey.

[identity profile] nadriel.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
It's good hair. *nodnod*

[identity profile] nadriel.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
Erm, probably not.

But thank you for the mental image of you as a brownie. I think you just fused my signal input. Again. Dammit.

[identity profile] ladyravenette.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
This may surprise you, but I got thrown out of the brownies 'cos I was a bit aggressive. Only as a child, you understand. And I still don't like kids. Or bobble hats.

[identity profile] nadriel.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
I can understand the bobble hat thing- I was forced to wear one at an early age, and I don't think my psyche every fully recovered from the trauma.

And I don't mind kids. As long as they shut the hell up and don't bother me...

[identity profile] ladyravenette.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
People get selective amnesia when they have kids (or grandkids). Those who know me also know that I loathe children, but apparently also hold the mistaken belief that I can't possibly mean THEIR child, because THEIR child is the best thing since...ever. Well, I'm here to tell you that no, your child is no more appealing than the last snot-nosed, staring little weirdo who passed this way and no, I don't want to say hello (although goodbye appeals). Perhaps it's a result of having seen too many Children of the Corn horror films, combined with the fact that kids never seem to blink. Not when they're staring at me, anyway. AND they even stop crying when I get near them - perhaps I should rent myself out to parents of difficult children.

Heh. "Behave or we'll send for Lady Ravenette..."

:-)

[identity profile] ladyravenette.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Slow down!!! Your comments & replies are making less sense than usual!

[identity profile] nadriel.livejournal.com 2003-09-11 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Is that even possible?

Okay, I'll try and slow down a bit- maybe I'll play a computer game while I wait or something. The problem with being cooped up at home is I have a tiny room and a computer, and that's pretty much all I have to keep me entertained...
