Connection issues

I'm having trouble connecting to login.password.com, login.ebay.com, and login.yahoo.com- it comes up with an error message "connection refused" (I'm using Firefox). I also can't connect to MSN- it keeps saying the gateway is offline. Since I'm playing WoW and icq works fine, I'm unsure as to what's causing this- can anyone help?


Edit: Reinstalling MSN got that working again- will now see if I can login to the above sites.

Further edit: Yep, that sorted it. How odd...

More edit: And now it's not working again. Hmmm.

How are you connected to the Internet? Could be some weird URL-based filtering, although what would cause that (other than someone setting it up on a proxy on your PC / on a router) I'm not sure...

I'm using an ADSL broadband model connection. I don't know what could have caused it, because everything worked fine until this morning.
