Well, that's just crushed my good mood from the last few days.
Just finally heard back from the company that I interviewed with. I didn't get the position- apparently, despite being "the most technically gifted candidate" and "having one of the best personalities of all the candidates", I wasn't what they were looking for.

Date: 2005-08-25 06:48 pm (UTC)Based both on my own experiences and what I've seen of others', I just don't see how anyone can actually manage to get a permanent job. And when they do pick people for jobs, they always seem to be the most obviously unsuitable, useless munters around.
I can only account for it through the Dilbert theory: incompetent managers seeking to keep the talent pool below/around them shallow.
Sorry for the rant - but I think I know how you feel.
