A good video can make a bad song bearable, or even enjoyable.

Edit: An example of this for me is the Linkin Park Points of Authority Reanimation Remix Video (the one with the cool cgi war going on).
Normally, I don't like this song at all, but when put to that video, it actually seems good.
Another example is Limp Bizkit's Rolling. I hate that song, but when put to a very well edited Anime Music Video, it's actually enjoyable.

(I wish I'd seen the Rolling video so I could agree/disagree here but I avoid Limp Bizkit like anthrax - both the plague and the band.)
A very current example I can think of is Gwen Stefani's "What You Waiting For" - visually nice and plays into my weakness for Alice In Wonderland type of themes...but I wouldn't listen to the song on it's own. Seems to fit the video, though. As a whole, enjoyable. Having watched it about a dozen times, I honestly couldn't tell you what the lyrics were or what the song was remotely about...but it is pretty to look at.
So, keeping with my previous analogy, this would be a good movie with an appropriate soundtrack.
