Nothing to see here...

Please excuse any drunken ramblings last night. I may have excessively celebrated getting the job, which triggered my more stupid depressed side.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have far too much work to do. At least I'm gettting paid more for it now...

A good start...

First official day on the job, and there's a hard drive failure on the main server. Le sigh. (I mean, okay, we have a RAID array, so it's not the end of the world, but now I have to do various bits of fixing...)

That was, well, fun...

Just met up with one of the people who wanted to be friends from the whole speed dating thing. Had 3 hours of great, random and rambling conversation. It was brilliant. This is what I miss- I have loads of great friends, but most of them I only see at weekends right now, and then we're all involved in games and stuff, so it's not quite the same, as I'm focussed on the reason we're all there.

I want more random weekday evening "just hang out somewhere and chat/watch films/lounge".
